Rather than lose the scene, it was decided that Jolie would be legally emancipated from her parents, Marcheline Bertrand and actor Jon Voight, so she could be considered an adult. This was not a stretch as Jolie was already living on her own with her boyfriend and had, according to Schroeder, finished her final two years of high school "in five months." It was a plan to which Angelina Jolie agreed and the legal process was undertaken to have a judge agree to the filing. Once that was done, the young star was considered an adult and the hurried production schedule could move forward. Psy Year: 1992 Noone really knows what her birth year is. There was some "official" date 22.05.1978 but there is really no proof of that. It turns out she left for US just after the movie and many years later she came back, gave one interview in 2010 in which she claims she was 17 during filming and in the same interview she said she was 17 in 1992 when her mother had been murdered, that's why she left the country. She had been working as a hostess in a mall when she was spotted by photographer who was main actor's wife, that's how she got to the movie. She couldn't be a hostess in age of 14.
