Her parents sued the distributors for the poster, which shows her breasts, as it was exhibited on billboards around France without their permission. They lost the case. In the case of Miss Besse, her parents have sued the ''Beau Pere'' distributors and producers for a poster showing her sitting, barebreasted, on Patrick Dewaere's knee. The actress's mother said that the poster was put up without her permission, and that its context - shown on billboards all over France - made a use of Miss Besse that was exploitative; in contrast to what she said was the delicacy and sensitivity with which the film itself treated her.
