Wolfgang's step-father slaps him twice across the face.

Wolfgang is given a set of reform home clothes. He wanders naked into the changing rooms where other boys are going into the showers.

When Wolfgang questions why he has to wear wooden clogs, one of the brothers hits him on his face with a spade.

When Wolgang tries to defend Anton, he is punished by the oldest boy instead. He is forced to kneel on the floor of the showers whilst lots of boys hit his bottom with their shoes including Anton who is forced to do it. One boy turns on the showers afterward.

The boys strip to their underwear and run into the river where they have mud fights. Wolfgang takes of his underpants and throws them in the air. Brief rear nudity.

Wolfgang is caught stealing tomataoes. The brother hits him with a baton many times.

Wolfgang has been punished and hung by ropes in the basement.

Wolfgang hallucinates and see him and his mother frolicking in the sea. It ends with them kissing.
