-Your last scene in the film, when you’re having sex with your male client, is pretty graphic for a 14-year-old in 1981. Were you nervous?
-I was not involved in the gay world and of course I was nervous to act out something like that in front of a camera. This was also the same with my first sex scene with Natja. I hadn’t had any sexual experiences yet! So before the scene with my male client, Uli got me alone without the crew, just me and him, and he got behind me to demonstrate how it should look.

In reference to the filming, Natja Brunckhorst said: "We shot a scene on Kurfürstenstraße. Christiane, my character, is standing alone waiting for someone to pick her up. It was a long lens shot so the camera team was far away. A car drove up and I was about to get in when I saw, out of the corner of my eye, some of the crew running towards me shouting: "No! No! No!" And it came to me: this was a real guy, not an actor, trying to pick me up. I almost got into a car with someone who wanted to sleep with a 13-year-old."

Thomas Haustein: I was nervous before the bed scene.
Natja Brunckhorst: I thought it was strange that everyone on set was so strange, there was such a tense atmosphere first thing in the morning. Everyone was sent out, except for the camera. And Uli Edel said very seriously: Yes, we're doing the sex scene today. Everyone thought they should be ashamed. Sex scene? I thought, what is that? That's what made it difficult for me.
Thomas Haustein: Well, maybe it was all because I went to Uli beforehand and said: I've never slept with a girl before. It was supposed to be a deflowering and I had no idea.
Natja Brunckhorst: Now I'm curious to hear what Uli said.
Thomas Haustein: He took me completely seriously. He sent everyone out and demonstrated it a little. With moaning. After that I was calm, it wasn't that spectacular.
