While Bakhita (unknown, 10?) is running across the savannah, she comes face to face with a lion, who ignores her. After this, Bakhita goes to a shaman (or similar).

Bakhita is enslaved, a man tries to buy her, to give her freedom back, but he fails.

Bakhita is taken (in chain) to her new home, she's shocked to see a man being punished for trying to escape, and is whipped several times by a woman just to make her understand who's in charge. Later Bakhita goes to the man to bring her some water but is stopped by another slave so as not to let the little girl suffer the same fate. In the TV movie (born from the union of the 2 episodes) the scenes of Backhita in chains at the beginning and the final scene where she tries to bring water to the slave were cut.
