John "Spud" Milton is upset while showering with bigger lads as they make fun of his penis. He rushes back to the dorm and dresses.

Spud is in line outside, waiting to be caned. An older boy rushes out after his punishment and douses his bottom in the fountain. Spud then enters the office, bends over a chair, lifts his blazer up and receives several strokes of the cane on his bottom. He tries to think of a beautiful mermaid to take his mind off the pain.

Whilst Spud is looking at the girl he fancies with another boy, a different girl approaches him and gives him a long kiss.
