This film was falsely targeted by the vice squad as child pornography. Director Barbara Hammer explained: "There is a scene of nude women and prepubescent girls traipsing through a field of grass and into a teepee. I told the vice squad that the girls' mothers accompanied them and were in the film as well. They were taken aback. I pointed out that the films with sexual content were shown within a context, an evening of films, not all of which were sexual in nature. They had nothing else to charge me with and I was free to leave. However, they came to my screening that night to be sure I didn't show anything that they hadn't seen, or for other unstated reasons. I felt triumphant and celebrated with the audience at the Trafalmadore Cafe when the show went on as planned, my goal throughout the ordeal."
