Asked if the scene on the tree was planned from the beginning, director Carmen Jiménez said: "Yes, the image of Berta naked on the tree is one of the first that was in the script from the beginning. I knew I didn't want to be too explicit with the image, that I wanted to protect the child actress (who, obviously, wasn't naked when we shot it). To achieve the effect of nudity, it was very effective to have her clothes lying under the tree so that the viewer could draw the conclusion that she is completely naked without having to show it."
